About Anirudh A Damani
Anirudh A Damani, accoutred with over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, is a third-time entrepreneur and a second-generation investor from the illustrious Damani family. Notably, he was the first to introduce the concept of microVC firms in India. Today, he serves as the Managing Partner of Artha Venture Fund (AVF), India’s largest microVC fundhouse and the country’s first early-stage microVC firm. Regularly, Anirudh speaks on topics related to venture capital, investing, and entrepreneurship, sharing his thoughts and insights in the media.
After achieving a successful career in sales and entrepreneurship in Texas, Anirudh returned to India in 2012 to start a new chapter. He began his journey by investing in and mentoring early-stage founders through Artha India Ventures (AIV). Over the years, Artha’s portfolio has grown significantly, now encompassing 120+ investments across India, the USA, Israel, and Africa. Among these are multi-bagger investments in OYO Rooms, Tala, Agnikul, Exotel, Purplle, Karza Technologies, Everest Fleet, and Daalchini Moreover, in addition to Artha India Ventures, Anirudh co-founded Artha Energy Resources and Artha Venture Fund under the broader business umbrella of the Artha Group.
To create a platform for meaningful discussions, Anirudh launched Damanitalks, a podcast that connects with some of the brightest minds in business, investing, and entrepreneurship. Each episode dives deep into stories of resilience, innovation, and success. The podcast uncovers the ‘why’ behind entrepreneurship. Anirudh holds a BA in Business Administration and a double major from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, USA. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is driven by a passion for adventure, travel, deep-sea diving, skydiving, and blogging. Additionally, he is a devoted cricket fan and finds joy in exploring the intricacies of the sport.
